Diary & Notes ~ Air Cell Detatched SHIPPED Chicken Eggs for incubation and hatching

Hey everyone, I was planning on starting another incubation next week. I ordered 24 eggs from a local farm. Does anyone want to hatch-along with me?

I'd love to, but... Am thinking about building an incubator and trying out some of my bantam's eggs. Heard a commotion just after I opened the chickens this morning. Looked outside and little rooster was working his way through the flock. Still very hit and miss, but he's getting the idea.

He's so freakin' cute, I'm very tempted to breed with him. Here he is with one of the hens:

Sally, I was looking at you Coop site and wish I had known as a 10th grader that Hinkel was chicken!
I had a teacher Mr Hinkel in 10th grade and he was a tyrant! All we did through out that year was look at WW2 videos of nazi death camps! He was horrible to any Jewish student. I would love to have spread the word his name really was Mr. Chicken! We did call him Finkel! I would laugh but it was a night mare!

How is hope?

She is doing good! I actually just noticed a brown or black feather or two on her chest! I now know she is not a pure white leghorn!!! :O Now to wait and see how many she'll grow.

She is almost three weeks old!
