Ancona 8 1/2 days old!

Its just a big tub from wallyworld, BIGGEST is always better,so pay the extra 5 bucks for a bigun.... used a utility knife to cute two sections on the top and wire is cut and ziptied, NOTE it would look "cleaner" if I would have ziptied them on the underside of the lid so you cant see the wire edges lol....oh and its nice because I can a book over the top of the one section if I need it warmer! and then I just added a baking pan and one of those baking cooling racks....

I LOVE this brooder idea!

That's perfectly normal. They get little hiccoughs in their systems sometimes. I've seen some weird eggs over the years! I'm still waiting for a triple yolk though...
