NOSE ON BATOR!!!

No wonder they dont want to come out!!! he he he

What does flush free mean!! second time I read this!!!! did I screw up?
It seems you get 2 types, flush free and the other one and basically flush free is the better option. Humans have some interesting reaction to the other one LOL For ducks most recommend adding 100mg to a gallon water. Ask at your pharmacy what they've got and read the label!

Here's a good thread on it:

And more on niacin:

still nothing on my eggs.... not losing hope thought and not freaking out, just bummed!! maybe my temps were too low during incubation??

sally - i know your info says some chicks can go 25 days to hatch, but at what point do i start investigating and open an egg??
Candle and tap the eggs and see if there's signs of life. I know as little as a single degree under 99* can slow them down, some by as much as 24 hours. Good luck and

Obtain the best hatch by keeping the temperature at 100º F. throughout the entire incubation period when using a forced-air incubator. Minor fluctuations (less than ½ degree) above or below 100 degrees are tolerated, but do not let the temperatures vary more than a total of 1 degree. Prolonged periods of high or low temperatures will alter hatching success. High temperatures are especially serious. A forced-air incubator that is too warm tends to produce early hatches. One that runs consistently cooler tends to produce late hatches. In both cases the total chicks hatched will be reduced.

Was excited i had it
.Was fine all day but was dead this morning!

Am kicking myself for not taking him out last night but had 2 zipping and was afraid to even though he was panting.

And the other 2 had some yolk leak as they zipped yesterday as i saw it then,.i guess(never had that before). both got stuck and i had to assist
I think they are both fine. Lots of crap hanging off their butts think its just the poo from the egg etc... i am waiting for them to rest and dry up but one doesnt look too chipper The other does. So far i think they both are sticky though from the mess in the egg.
2 more due Monday.Hope it works out better!

UPDATE ..the are both up and chirping and walking even if guppy looking

An oddity... Last week and tis week same chicks from same breeder....got 2 black and one splash

Hope those two keep doing well. It's always sad to loose one. :(

How many do you have left to hatch?

I just set my eggs this morning. Temp is steady at 99.5 and humidity is at 52%. Need to check again in a few to be sure it is steady.
