Question:

I found ONE egg in the silkies pen, light tan of good silky size, but wrinkled a bit and thin, cause I accidently stuck my finger through it.
Havent had one since last week when I found this one in the nest box. so was it splash tink or white juliet?

Tink was just finishing up a brood when I got her this sept. No eggs since
Juliet born May 2012 no eggs yet.

I noticed some poo on tinks butt last fridayso she had a soak in some epsom salt and a good washing of feet and such.
Then she had the epsom salt oral dose and I quarantined with acv in water and feed with ACV and probotics.... after a day she had great poo's so she went back in....
No issues since, but no eggs.

I did put calcium chip grit in the food and a little bucket in the pen.

I found a cage in the basement that seemed perfect for Hope, so I am going to wash it out (REALLY GOOD) and set it all up and put Hope in it. She doesn't need the heat anymore! I also built a perch/litter box that I can set her in, and she will just sit with me for hours. It's made out of a cardboard box with a plastic litter box filled with paper on the bottom and an old belt for the perch, wrapped around the box and taped. It is so comfy for her feet- she loves it! :DD
I shall show pics later!!!!

For anyone looking to build a cooler type incubator check this place out http://incubatorwarehouse.com/ I have nothing to do with this company but plan to use them when I build my wood cabinet incubator. And anyone wanting a good book to read check out Hatching&Brooding your own chicks by Gail Damerow it's just not chickens, but ducks, turkeys, geese, and guinea fowl.I got mine at Barnes and Noble 24.95 well worth the read. Also if you have a nook I just downloaded 21 books on Incubation and chickens for free.
