Hi all, just had a quick look at my eggs: 4 showed development

My flashlight's battery is a bit weak from kiddo playing with it all the time, so I couldn't see much detail, but I'm positive about those 4. I will candle again Friday.

she is now a he and crowed this morning a pathetic screetch ...so out of the Dec chicks I have 2 out of 3 Roos..great!

Does anyone know how many Roosters can live together peacefully? I have Silkie/Frizzle mixes

I am dealing with roosters now. I have 4 in my big coop and they are all going a litttle crazy with their spring hormone rush. They are getting bachelor pens made until I decide who goes and who stays. Trust me. They were all sweet and wonderful and this past week got to where you could not turn your back on them. I would keep only the ones you need for breeding if that is what you are doing. If you want to keep them all plan on having a separate cage for them. One that you can add food and water from the outside. Good luck. I am now arming myself with my steel toe boots and thick leather gloves before venturing among my flocks.

Here's Hope!:

Ruffled feathers. :3

Her wattles be a growin'!

She always rushes over to the corner of the cage when she sees me coming over! :D <3

Great balance!
Do y'all think she's still a she??
awwwww looks girly!!

How much longer should I keep the two yoke babies in the incubator? If I put neosporin on the protruding parts would they be good in the brooder?
yes, how much yet? I would be scared others will peck them, dont want rupture or more open areas for bacteria to enter
