if you can leave a small gap its better but because of their shape - the surface area touching is very small. once you toss the clears at 7-10 days there will be no prob. It's ok if the eggs touch other eggs, right?

Lol I think Hope might be a roo herself. XD I am uploading some more videos on to Youtube.I almost feel bad reporting my update. You know 3D, if you got yourself a roo when Hope is bigger, you could start a chick business there from the sounds of it. Are you not allowed to have a roo because of your parents or the neighborhood?
Here's my update from candling 62 eggs. 46 of them are fertile and growing. I may have a few quitters (3). And some that don't look as advanced as most in development. These eggs were 16 days old and forward. Interestingly, all the eggs that weren't fertile were from my young roo. But... His last 10 are fertile. I think this in combo with the cold weather plus the age of egg, would indicate that he will be successful from this point forward. Another note... He is sizeably larger that two of the hens. I'll keep updateing! Day 6
Broody?!?!Oh my gosh! I went outside and put 4 eggs in the nest, Aqua (the hen) and Cappa (the pullet) get up and inspect the nest, and boom! Just like that, Aqua climbs in the nest and sits down right on top of the eggs!!!!!
WOOT! Erm, what does FCM stand for?I finally got my hatching eggs!!!!! 21 FCM eggs from my neighbors, 2 silkie eggs from my neighbors, and 2 FCM eggs from my own yard!!! ^.^
