Is it possible for a chick to pip vertically? It looks like I have one piping at the very top of the egg. It's hard to tell because of the angle but it looks like there is a tiny bit of feather poking out there. Sooo hard to see it but that is my best guess without opening my bator. Two zipping BTW.

I had one that pipped then tried to zip across the top instead of around. I let it work for a whole day then gave up and helped. I think it was too big to have zipped normally. It made it. Give it time to see what it does.

Hang in there Sally! That which troubles us, strengthens us. It has made you who you are and helped you to become a wonderful teacher to your children and those of us who have learned a bunch from you here. Not many take the time to encourage and support others as you have here. You have a big heart! We all have those days and are here to support you as well. Keep your chin up!

I think I just need a full day of crying I guess. never too old to cry but for some reason I dont do it much anymore.

3D the chick is with me 24/7 and she cant stay on her feet! she runs too fast and ends up on her back and just lays there waiting for me. Its been a few days of sleepless nights and days with this chick, I cant cull it because its healthy otherwise. God bless all the parents in the world with a lifetime of disability with a child, OMG I can only imagine.
