Just got 8 Silkie eggs USPS. all have detached air cells, but only 2 are really broken up. So glad i read this !!!!!!!!!!! will incubate in carton small side down and follow what is suggested in post.

any other advice will be greatly appreciated.

Make sure the cartons have holes in the bottom so air can get to that part of the egg!

NEW EGG UPDATE--- 3 eggs with external pips (2 silkies, 1 FCM) and 1 egg with internal pip (FCM) temp- about 100 F humidity- 70%

Not candling!!! I can just see 3 eggs with pip holes and 1 egg is wiggling with no pip hole! XD
