No I don't have the holes plugged but managed to cut up some sponges and squeeze them through the holes on the Bator and now my humidity is up to 65% heard some chirping last night in the incubator and saw some eggs rocking!! How long now? Today is day 21 and no piping yet but hoping ill come home to a few pipped eggs this afternoon! Fingers crossed! I don't think I was this nervous when I gave birth to my own children!!

hatching takes a long time or it feels that way when we are waiting for the fluff balls. Hopefully you will have one when you get home but if you don't it will be ok and they will show up tonight or tomorrow. As long as your temp was good and your humidity is high then they will do what they are programmed to do. The biggest thing is to be patient and don't rush nature.

Well done, Sparky! Was the egg white or the Silkie?
 
Oh no! The ventalation plugs are still in!!!!! Will the chicks be ok while I'm at school? I don't get home for another 4 hours!
