two thread users taking chicks to the vet in 24 hrs. truly dedicated chicken lovers.

as much as I am enjoying chickens, I simply could not take a bird to the vet but more power to you guys

maybe its the farm boy in me.
I feel bad because I never even thought to call the vet for poor Bubba the other week.
I was actually starting to dislike the chick for being such a pain in my butt and then after three days he started to soften me.

or maybe it was lack of sleep???

hundreds of dollars for a set of xray of a dog is straight out robbery. I would certainly refuse to pay for the second set. even though its minimal, i would also be all over him for the extra radiation the dog got because of his crappy employee. you have to go for the jugular with theives

More Good news!! Puppies!! Had the Xray~ They said 5 but I think there is more!! What do you think????
Found it on here! LOL

Now I ended up paying them 250 bucks including the visits, which they did nothing but take the pics!
funny thing is, they told me 5 puppies and we counted 7 at home because I ASKED for the CD which they didnt want to give me, I said I get it or I dont pay!
Now look at that ray! its obvious how many puppies and I am NOT a tech!

My parents would never pay for a vet. Not even for the dogs or cats. If something bad happens, I hope I will be able to come up with the money for it, but for now, everyone's fine. Luckily we really haven't had to deal with any disease over the years.

In fact, our dogs have never had rabies shots either.

But they are 7 and 8 years old and seem very healthy. The one thing I do worry about is heart worm, but I was told that it wasn't common in MN.

By the way, I'm currently working on my AA degree and I'm seriously considering becoming a vet. I really think that it's a job that I would enjoy, but I'm not so sure that I'd be able to put down healthy animals.
