Thanks for the input! I tend to have anxiety issues and these eggs have got my brain doing overtime. They all seem to be alive and no smells that I have noticed. Oh yeah, do I lockdown the eggs on their sides?

I still get anxious. Lay them down as long as the air cell is not moving. Good luck.

actually I do, if your up to it???

I need to make a 30' tall basic single flue (spl?) chimney and need to know how large and deep my footer needs to go?

I just noticed that our chimney is all but free standing!

Seriously? PM me if so. We have a masonry contracting business and I can help you figure all that stuff out. Diane

check with your local gubment but in PA when I redid a house, footers had to go below freeze line - 48"
This is true. I can check with my husband on the length and width and if you should put any rebar in it. Usually we do I think. It will be a lot of mixes of cement! Might be easier to have a truck drop a yard or so in the hole. If it's 3' x 3' x 4' deep it's 1.33 cubic yards concrete, plus a little that won't come out of the truck, so you'll have to likely pay a small load fee on top of the per yard cost, or you can rent or borrow a cement mixer and buy bags of cement.
