Are these your Easter chicks hatching? Mine haven't started yet and the air cells are absolutely horrible. I'd be happy to simply get 1 chick out of the bunch, but I'll be praying for more.

I have NO CLUE how it got out of the shell, I should have shown him, but he had to go right away, the shell was zipped weird too, almost busted the entire top off.

Ok, I need someone to talk me out of this idea.

I was thinking about my eggs because I need these eggs to hatch. There still aren't any internal pip, the air cells are extremely screwed up, and I'm almost positive that I'm going to have mostly mal-positioned chicks.

I didn't want to admit this, but I was really bad with turning. I kept forgetting to do it and for a while, the eggs were only being turned once a day. After so many hatches, you would have thought that I would have known better. (note to self - buy an automatic egg turner)

Anyways, enough with the confessions. Here is my crazy idea. I was thinking about Goosey. I opened her egg because she was unable to internal pip and she made it just fine. What if I went ahead and removed the tops of all 5 eggs, put down antibiotic sab, and checked for mal-positioned chicks. Yes I know I shouldn't intervene if it's not necessary, but the chicks should be able to hatch on their own normally if they are correctly positioned, and I could help those that aren't positioned, right?
 
you can candle and check for internal pips, but I wouldn't suggest it otherwise.
I am only saying this to you personally because I know you wont touch that inner membrane and u know how long it takes for them to rest. I consider you very experienced!

I know.. I keep going back and forth. I did candle, and there are no internal pips. It's not at all suggested, but I'm worried I'll loose these guys and I keep thinking that I should be able to do it.

If I take a part of the top off (not all) and moisten the membrane and the chick is correctly positioned, it should be able to hatch on it's own. Correct?

I probably shouldn't even be thinking this way... hence the original "Please talk me out of this" haha.
