HAHAHA, Oh the joy I just found when I realized at least 6 of my olive eggers due for next Friday had growth/veining/movement in them!!! Despite being almost 2 weeks old when they were set! WHOO HOO.

OMG! The pipped silkie just spontaneously hatched within like 20 minutes of me being away from the incubator! It looks really good and strong. I'm posting a pic. Do I leave it in? It's flopping everywhere.
 
kicked the teenagers outside and moved the babies to the big brooder...seem to be doing better!


new brooder in the works for outside summer hatches...and they say women can't love power tools!!

Hello to everybody, I have a DIY incubator that had 10 duck eggs, only one was developing, now I don't even know if that one is good. Want to change around and redo my incubator and then try to hatch more ducks.
Always calibrate thermo/hygros, read the hatching 101 and the links for ducks under the chart in the article, and I am wondering if your heating thermostat has a lot of flux? see the coolerbator link down below in my signature!
