Hehe. This made me laugh! Seriously. I have six kids. I'm always in the kitchen! If I want to do ANYTHING! For myself. I have to just do it! As its Easter break here its great as I don't have to worry about times too much! As long as mine get three meals a day they are pretty good but if I try to get away with just two omgg!!! They create something rotton!
I am so ready for summer break so I don't have to worry about bed time. Mine experimented with "cooking a couple times. It was pretty.

Yeah, if you see veins leave it longer. I've seen some very fine veins in the shells after my chicks hatched by themselves, but if the decision of when exactly that chick must come out is up to me I wait as long as possible. Annoys my chicks no end, but rather too late than too early. There's no way to fix a vein (not in an egg anyway - before Oz jumps in

Not much other news. Worrying about DH who took a tumble down the stairs and hurt his back. Wishing it would stop raining. Great timing, I just moved the broody and chicks out, then the weather turned sour. Isle of Skye I'm sure will be worth a visit, I haven't been there yet, but I hear it's lovely. But then someone told me Co Mayo is lovely and trust me: it was not!! LOL Let me know when you come and I'll give you a list of places to visit that's really nice. Like Mizen head. There's pic on my Castle thread to tempt you.

Two ameraucana/orpington chicks, two pips in the OE eggs (two still intact) aaaaaand...still no action in the cream legbars. I really really really hope I get at least one. I'd love for both of them to hatch though. Then again, I really wanted FOUR to hatch, but with one clear and one early quitter. :/ As for the remaining two, one developed, but it was the one with the crack in the shell (repaired with nail polish) and the other one I couldn't tell. So...

I'm going to be especially bummed if *everything* but the CLs hatch. They were not cheap eggs.

Have faith!

That's why I only got four :(
I just bought some for $5 an egg and she upped her price to $8 an egg. Local so chances are a lot better. These aren't going in my bator but another friends. Glad I am not responsible for them. Way too much stress.

someday I will visit Ireland. Already have England and Scotland under my belt. Ireland has always been on my list.

Glad broody momma is happy with her babies. Good job on the assist.

Thanks everyone for the compliments on Goosey and Aflack. I have had plenty of friendly chicks in the past, but none compare to these 2. They are my babies and they're spoiled rotten, haha.

The pictures are from a week ago. Goosey now has 1 inch feathers coming in and I'm impatiently waiting for those beautiful white curly feathers.
