So..... Just went to check on one of my hens that I have in the house and there is my first very unexpected chick!!!!!! Soooooo stinking excited but what the &$@! Do I do now??? Is it ok with straw bedding???

enjoy and yes it will be fine as long as its momma is taking care of it.

So I set them tonight along with some P/brahma and a ton of silkies for sara!
oh and there are 4 turkey and some eggs from Chooks in there too!

well you could leave it with the moms ... but yes straw bedding is ok as far as I know.. that is what i use
 
Thanks guys! Another one of her eggs has pipped so hopefully it won't be long now. Can I rely on her to show the chicks the good and water? She isn't getting up at all.
 
2nd pip under broody duck! She came off her nest to eat take a drink and get wet in the pool so we snuck and took a look, she had covered the nest completely it was so cute & warm!
 
took a couple pics tonight while candling. I think mine are day 11ish. I need to count days I guess. sorry they are not good quality but you can see the important stuff. I have a video I will figure out how to post later.
