Wow you had a really rough hatch! I would wrap it in a wet warm paper towel and put it in a cup or bowl and back in the bator. Check it in a bit to see if it absorbed the rest.Ok. This one hatched last night it has this hanging out. Is it absorbing that?

Oh bless this is just awfull. I think your well coping. You bator looks awful. What a hatch. I hope your ok. You poor thing. That chick looks so sad and poorly. Hope he/she gets right and recovers from this Traumatic event. Good luck to you and your beautiful babies. I have my fingers crossed. HugsWow you had a really rough hatch! It's not going to stay wrapped in a paper towel or in a cup unless its high enough to keep it in. It's very active.
But I did it. I put it in a styrofoam cup.

Just keep checking. active is very good sign. If it doesn't change any might need to tie it off. I am not an expert assistor the way Sally and Sumi and Cochins are so hopefully someone pops on here and tells us their opinions. Beautiful Buff by the way. I am kinda partial to orps and the golden babies are some of my favorites. They kinda sparkle like gold right after they hatch.for your chick!
