Great idea. For some reason, I can't think clearly when it's me having the issues. I bought a few packs of the Vital Pack stuff from Meyer, will go add that to the water now. I already am using UP ACV in there.
I did get a fresh poop pic.
On sand. There's pretty much nothing there. Just a few looks like bubbles. I really hope I'm worrying over nothing.
Bit more info: the chick is 2-3 days old. Hatched on its own, though I did have to rinse it off and stick it immediately back in the incubator after several hours as it was goopy and not fluffing up.
I only decrease .5 after the first pip.......
gotcha! at this point its late and I will assume your close to the middle between the two right? I think you could lockdown if air cells are ok
The air cells are weird. Some look good and then I would say 90% of the runner ones are only a 1/4 of the egg. The humidity wasn't that high, actually lower than last hatch and theirs were perfect.
Oh my god! How do i get this chick to stop screaming every time i leave the room, i have hatched and raised lone chicks before but never had one this demanding, any ideas are very welcome
I go into lock down Thursday night. I leave and go out of town on Friday night so that will make not opening up or trying to help them easier. I won't be back until day 21 when they should be hatching. Last time I tried to help when I didn't need to do so. I've learned not to touch this time.
Our 86 cotournix are just going into lockdown as we speak. I had a temp spike on day 1 so If i did not fry them, we should have a pile if the little buggers by thursday.
Then a quick clean of the styrobator so I can put the 18 Pekins somewhere while the 183 chicken eggs go into lockdown on friday.
its going to be a busy few weeks in the Philippines
