Sally, do you have an AC Moore or a Michael's nearby? Check their facebook page, or look online and get a 50% off one item coupon. You can get a desktop Daylight lamp w/magnifier very cheaply (considering) that way. I absolutely NEED mine to embroider any more, and I even sit under it on successive overcast days (like today ugh) to keep from getting the rainy day blues.

On another note - I have a duckling hatched and drying! :weee

Woohoo!
Well crap. The soda machine screwed up. The thermostat went out. Going to start over. Gotta get a new thermostat and hook everything up again.

That really stinks. Toss the eggs or did you stuff them in the other 50 bators you have running. ;)

They were cooked hard. It never shut off. Funny thing is its working fine now. But I'm not taking another chance. This is the second time this has happened. The first time I thought it was human error and I didn't have eggs in there. This time I know it wasn't me.

Well,Stormy tipped the her cardboard nest box over on day five, and the eggs fell onto the shavings,no cracks, but could that kill the eggs?
I don't think so, it takes pretty much. have faith! I was worried about that too! I actually screwed/washered the back of the box to the shed wall!

DH is grexin because the surgy center is only taking him in at noon so he cant eat for so long, cry baby! HA let the fun begin already! I told him to stay up all night and then sleep in the morning before we go!

Well... I don't remember the exact data when I put my 2 duck eggs in the bator... But I think they are at least 3 weeks old, as I candled and could see nothing but a foot moving at the very bottom of the egg... Soon, I will have a baby duck!

I candled today, one dead. Threw it out. I have one egg left who is doing great! But if he hatches, he's gonna be all alone.

And I feel so bad for them if they are all alone. So I told myself I would run to the hatchery and get another duckling as soon as this one is out. LOL
But my duck's egg shells are the THICKEST SHELL EVER! It took me a while to crack one. How is this baby gonna get out????

Sorry, trying to get the kiddos to bed. A few articles I read said it was in the hops used in the black label brew, others suggested it was in the water used. I'm really not sure. It is supposed to make the worms sterile & fool them into thinking its food so they'll eat it and not release a poison into the dog. Then they die off slowly and the dog is fine. Then you use it as preventative rather than a "cure".
As for my beagle we assumed that is what it was by his symptoms. He had pneumonia a few years ago and we had him treated, it was not cheap, the vet said he almost didn't make it & if it happened again we might need to put him down. He has a condition with his esophagus that makes him prone to it. When he started coughing again we thought that's what it was. I googled his symptoms and found heart worms could be the cause. The vet wanted to test & treat all 5 dogs and we couldn't afford it with a baby on the way. That's when I googled alternative treatments & found out about the Guiness. It was a better alternative than putting him down and more affordable than possibly treating 5 dogs. I figured if there was no change we'd figure out a way to pay for it. To my surprise he seemed better. That was last year and he is still with us. All of the dogs seem more energetic & quit coughing & butt dragging.
