Going to switch feed on all my chickens again. Trying to get away from Purina. Anybody ever use Southern States All-Grain feed? Bought a bag of chick/starter today. And it's medicated. The only one they had for chicks. But there ordering me 100 lbs of the All-Grain meat maker. That's what I'm going to feed the chicks and roos with. Then the All-Grain Layer/breeder for the laying hens. Cheaper than Purina and from what I can find on it others really like

I use SS all grain & my chickens love it. I didn't buy the medicated chick feed so I'm going to use ACV until it runs out & I buy more.

Good. I normally don't either. But it's all they had right now. I also use ACV. They are getting 2 bags of my meat maker for the chicks and roos.

Eeeeewwwww you know the days of Hankies for anything other than cleaning glasses, scopes, and bandanas is looooong over.

Step out of OR waiting and an older anasthesiaologist Walks into , YES BAVK INTO OR blowing n picking his nose in a hankie and hanky in pocket!. Am I weird or does this sound extremely unhealthy and for his professions? If I had know how to put my words forth to him, I would have said something gross, that's amost as bad as my old babysitter wiping a green gross nose with dishrag and throwing it back in the sink water!

Eric still in surgery don't know why so long. Getting worried.

thats gross, hopefully he washes his hands before he gets into the room

dont worry about length of surgery. they may have started a little late or are doing an extra good job of getting the problem fixed. Ask the desk person for an update.

Yea, I just think of the wasted $45. That could have gotten me my 100ft of wire I need to finish fencing the roos side of the area I'm working on.

What kind of eggs? Maybe one of us can send you more? I only have a few breeds, but others on here have everything. Sorry to hear that Sally- good luck today! I'll text you later. Dependig on what Sally has, I am gonna have a full house! Holy crap! What? No eggs, Sal? Oh, who are you kidding! You just wanna move up to bigger & more badazz birds! My eggs are like stepping stone eggs, and you moved way past that now! Haha! Peacocks she says.... I'll have OE. Only a few right now.

I think the next thing on my list is peacocks and MAYBE guins. maybe A goose.... shhhhhh did I just say that? But not till next year as I gotta be careful with DH out of work for a while : (

Ok, as requested, I took some pictures today. Be prepared for a photo overload. First up is Goosey. Remember when she was this small?? Here she is today. She's 2 months old. Here she is trying to eat my shoe lace. Naughty goose.. Goosey and Aflac Here's Aflac.

Here's a few of my other birds. You guys seem to like the gold laced pattern, so here's my golden laced cochin bantam. Her name is goldilocks and she's 3 months old. Silver laced cochin bantam rooster. Hey Sally, here's my Black Betty. A 4 year old black LF cochin hen. Tom Jr. being silly. Here's Lucy (the turkey). Lastly, here's Alexander. He's still not eating very well. He's losing weight and getting weaker every day. I'm not sure how much longer he has. His top beak is overgrown and he bottom beak is still messed from the fight.

Hello all! I'm back online, finally after a battle to get internet. Drove over to the next town yesterday to get a dongle, it didn't work (turned out DH didn't put the voucher in to activate it

) Got a friend to go buy us another different dongle which I found is not "compatible". So a few phone calls later I organised a technician to come to us within a few days to install in on my laptop. Free of charge obviously. Not telling them I got the other dongle working since I spoke to them so we don't really need it anymore...

Hey, it's Africa, back-up's good!

Got a lot to tell, but I don't want to bore you all to death. It sucks to be back and nothing's changed really. And we're moving on again next week to our "while we are stuck in SA" accommodation. Good news is I got my incubator here intact! The customs were so slack in Dublin and Istanbul and we walked right past them "nothing to declare" in Cape Town with all sorts of prohibited items in our bags. LOL Darn if I knew that I'd have brought eggs with!! I probably would've pulled it off too. Seriously, they barely looked at our hand luggage and missed all sorts of things. Ahh well.

I see I am 100's of posts behind here so I'm not going to read through all of them, not now anyway. Did I miss anything interesting? And how are you all?
