Ok, as requested, I took some pictures today. Be prepared for a photo overload.

First up is Goosey.

I LOVE this pic! holy crap, how quick I forgot how fast waterfowl grow! WOW she is gorgeous! when will she mature and lay?

EGGS!!!!!

All are intact no cracks! Yay Sally! I'll let you know when I candle what I find inside.
YAY!! just remember not sure on fertility of the serama, since the roo saw his demise but I think they are good for a little bit! I threw three in my bator I will candle them and see if they are taking. I cant see fertility in such small eggs, my eyes are terrible, seriously need that mag glass/light!

doug has somewhere around 70 chicks (pictures on post number 14447) and the adorable goslings -last two were duds for a total of 8/13 - he is thinking about a 90% hatch rate on the shipped eggs in the bator
and got new eggs in today !!
he also asked for suggestions on thermostats
preferably digital
tony ad sally like the wafer thermostats

prnzbuttrcluck has offered me eggs when i return and can incubate again

gardenig mama had 2 cochins and a brahma out and tentatively said pics today ...

and is using Ivermectic pour on as new preventative

and tony does not believe he could keep guiness around for a whole year to try out the theory discussed yesterday lol

cochins cheked the goose egg she had doubts on - yep was a goner unfortunately- hopefully whatever caused it won't harm the other eggs in the bator !!

sorry to hear about the condition of your dog confusedturtle.. may he continue to do ok

bush recandled and saw enbryos but is still worried about the one blue egg

motorcyclechick decided sally was being spunky and needed her rest

sumi has returned !!! and will try to catch up asap !!

sally had 4 buttons when she left to go to the hospital this morning with mr. sunshine and just realized that those teeny tiny babies are fast little suckers !!!
and is thinking maybe peacocks, guins, and possibly a goose next year for the bator

wax has a local guy with peafowl and has considered hatching ..if said local will buy them back or some such lol
sally encouraged wax trying the pea fowl

sally discovered an egg tossed out by the broody cochin - stinkbomb
sickbyc.gif
- no wonder mrs moody broody tossed it !!

Hey Sally, when resting your FF, does water come to the top? Is that natural? Or do I need more feed if that does that??
No, not since I make it thicker, see the images I posted it actually puffs up and sorta see cracks running on the top like a loaf or something.... just add more feed to the top portion and next time mix it a tad thicker, it will take a little but you will get it!

16 out of 17 buttons!!! SHIPPED buttons!! That's right! <hiney dance>
one that was upside down died : ( but three others upsidedown hatched!
ummmm how do I get them out of the bator without them running out of it???

Look how tiny, see the marbles!!! ach du gut in Himmel! eye eye

Sally place the inc. in the brooder then remove the cover and let them jump. Watch that bowl with the sponge as it looks to have water at the bottom of it. I'm so happy for you!

Papa Brooder sent me 18 free eggs to make up for the first batch of eggs. Only one of those hatched and he was out of town and knew his hired help screwed up. I was surprised to get another 18. That's awesome.
