I would give him a couple of days to reply, after that, it's fair game.
My thing is other people getting them. I could see a few being infertile but all of them. Come on.

Quote: Please do! I think we should take notes of weather changes and the effects on our hatch rates, just out of interest.
I have not researched effects of thunderstorms but it sounds old wives tail-ish for the following reason:I don't get it. Some people seem to have this problem and others don't. Apparently it affects Budgie eggs as well as geese and duck eggs. I couldn't find an acceptable explanation for it yet though. Except that it ruptures the blood vessels. But what and why and why not for everyone? Maybe Sally or Oz will sniff something out.
i've had it happen, several times from different people, all from the carolina's , north and south, also from maryland, doesn't make sense to me, yet i can get eggs from washington state and have a good hatchMy thing is other people getting them. Quote: It is strange though that my friend's hatches both failed after the storms and he's been hatching almost non-stop for the past 2 years? We've had extremes both ways temperature wise, rain and dry, dry weather and no problems. Suddenly there's a thunderstorm and the hatch is bust.![]()
