15 DUCKIES!! one died after it zipped, WTHECK!!!! it never came out but was zippered all the way! First time that EVER happened to me!

 
Where's the ARK!!!! My houses are going to float away!! LOL. Had to open 3 houses, feed and water 4 pens and was soaked when I finally got in.

I love the free water for the gardens but dang. No wonder the hens aren't laying good. The big girls and boy never goes in the house during the Day. They will sit under the house but never in. At least the small ones know to stay in. LOL. They look funny after a day in the rain. All wet, roosters tail dragging the ground. Stupid chickens.

Looks like I'm going to get back into chickens somewhat sooner than I planned... MIL's flock got stolen recently, but they missed one beautiful little pullet. I've been feeding her and befriending her since we came back. I had my suspicions about the situation with her as I didn't see any evidence of her getting fed when I checked on her in the mornings. Anyway, after long stories and a bunch of lies (from MIL) and and and the usual it turns out she hasn't bought food for the little one and the pullet got nothing to eat but a bread crust and a spinach leaf from Friday through to Wednesday morning when I gave her some scratch grains I found in the feed bin

The gardener told her they are out of chicken food, so she didn't buy more. She simply doesn't care! All the shops in town sell scratch grains!! She has no excuse!!

Rant over. We're leaving the farm mid next week, I think. We need to confirm our arrangements still with the people we'll be staying with and warn them that I'm bringing a chicken with. There's no way I'm leaving her here. I'm not even going to tell MIL. I'm going to leave R20.00 and a note saying "I've taken your hen" in the coop door when we leave.

it looked fine! yolk absorbed and all, that green goop that is in ducks was at its neck, you think it got it on its beak/nostrils maybe? IDK got me I was like giving chest compressions but it was already gone.
