A new meaning for a box of chicken. 48 chicks and 3 turkey poults

Going to have to start culling.

The buffs follow me everywhere. I guess I brought it on. I drop them some feed.

My.morning started off really gross. my stupid broody hen jumped nesting boxes and i didn't realize it, and collected eggs, very excited thinking my Wheaton AMs were laying.( you probably know were this is going ) well i was fixing breakfast before and cracked open the egg and the was a cooking chick :0 grossed me the heck out. now im going to try and break this crazy nest jumping hen, no chicks for her due to stupidity. hope everyone else is having a better day.

That happened to me once. My MIL gave us some eggs and I boiled one. When I peeled it... Luckily the egg was in the fridge for days before, so it was dead already, but still. I didn't eat eggs for a long time after that.

That is exactly why I had never had a fresh egg. Now I am just careful about the eggs I collect. Funny how I have changed this past year.

I'm very careful with broody hens' eggs. I mark them and then some. Just in case... Gosh that was a horrible find

And to add insult to injury my MIL thought it was the funnist thing.

Boots for curled toes. I hope it works! Its having trouble walking around in these things is that normal? Almost like trying to walk in a set of swimming flippers.
