Just put my 17 eggs on lock down. Already have two pipping and can hear them chirping. Not sure about 1 of them. Never did develop right at day 14 and still doesn't look right. But went ahead as always and put it in there for the he77 of it.

oh wow! how hot are you running? I need to lockdown too, but I have a weak quail left in the hatcher, and I don't feel like starting up the empty coolerbator so if this quail isn't better by tonight she is out and lockdown is on. I did candle and didn't see any internals so I hope I will be ok!

yup, you should follow the assist article and see whats up, if they are internally pipped you can make a tiny air hole and wait if you see movement, or investigate the membrane on one of them to see if they are shrinked.

You have calibrated thermos and hygros so temps were correct for still air/ or fan model bator?

It has been varying between 99-101. I probably lock down a day late all the time. Lock down dates are sort of confusing. Some say 18 days, some places say 19. Again I think it's the definition of when days one is. Hatch date is Friday so I just count back 3 days including Friday. So today is lock down. Mine always hatch a day early. And start to pip the day I lock them down.

As long as it works for me, I'm good with it.

I think you candle them. There head will be in the air cell. Is that right Sally??
