This week will be crazy, starting today. I offered up my property to do a Bake/Food/Yard Sale fundraiser on Saturday, for a local family that just lost everything in a house fire last Saturday. So, today I have to go clean out my Moms shed to collect things for the sale, Clean my house, and do massive yard work. I'm really excited about this, but I'm scared silly too. Never quite done anything like this before soo... Anyway, I won't be on too much 'till after Saturday, but I know I'd better keep myself up to date....After all, SALLY IS BACK, LOL!!!!

Tom, I also forgot to ask you.... Dry incubation methods you used.... that wasn't completely dry right? You did use the humidity as a tool to achieve correct weight loss of the egg?

yes i measured. i had to add some water as they were loosing to much too fast.
awesome, and do you have a fan model on your bator? and your sure you don't have cold and hot spots in that bator? We always rotate our eggs at turn time, you should do that with a turner as well. I am not sure that's in the ARTICLE!!! crud! I keep learning things and forget to add sometimes, you guys better watch me! lol

I will pray that when you get home you will have external pips and they are showing you all is good!

question is how do you tell if they have internally piped other than hearing them chirp

fan bator and calibrated
Hey Tom, Tony is right, you can see internal pips, see the assist article image. IF YOU DO NOT SEE this internal pip during a candle, and your POSITIVE you hear the chick, you will def need to take that cap off like we discussed in PM. sometimes if the membrane is too dry they cant internally pip and you will need to create a tiny hole in the inner membrane at their beak so they can get good air. Only happened a few times when I first started incubating though, when I though dry meant dry as in no water. DOH! But if you do this dampen membrane lightly with water so you can see its beak and push membrane aside so you don't tear or rip veining.

I have 2 more egg customers!!

I haven't played in a year and a half and they asked what I been up to. Told them, they said they wanted to try a dozen. I was like nice. But I never understand when people say "they want to try my eggs". There eggs!! Good eggs.
