Re-freaking-diculas rain yesterday... so much water in the birds run the ducks were freely swimming.... outside the pool that is. 10 foot wide river was lowing under the coop and the small barn past through the pasture and out to the road. Birds are fine no worse for the ware and the eggs got turned never lot power or anything so that was a plus. Runs sure got washed out thats for sure lol. Did pick up some more birds this morning. Been a long day cant remember what they all are right now. black and blue old english game bantams. couple frizzles not fond of them. crap cant remember what the others are. got 16 total tho.

fingers crossed! These are from a hen from a friend of mine and a roo that was given to me; she didn't have a roo and most of the hens I have are not that great looking, so we're hoping we get a couple pairs or trios that are better looking.

If the old boy isn't fertile I do have a son from the best looking hen I have; not the best stock to start out with but all we can get here.

Well darn it will you guys quit hogging all that water?! We are dying out here for rain. Had a little sprinkle the other night, not even enough to register in the rain guage but that was the first rain since April 4!

Please come take some. Normal July for us is dry as hell. On the pipe gauge we had out with what we got today 8.75" in 48 hrs. Even have the misters set up in and outside the pens for the hot days. Have decided once I get moved to what I sure as hell hope is the last time I ever have to rent, No more hoses supplying water to the barn/shed or the coops. bought 300 feet of pvc pipe today. I'm puttin it in the ground. less the $100 bucks and the near scalding hot water problem solved.

And then we can all three take a trip to the Phillipines and drop in on Oz . . .
