I have mites!!
I have a jar of poultry dust with permethrin. Can I just dust the coop and nesting boxes or do I have to do all the chickens too
?
Crap. I think I'll dust just so mine don't get it.

I haven't sorry. You've probably seen these threads already, but here goes anyway:Anyone hatch Chukar yet? I need some pointers, what a pain in the bleep! The chukar are hatching and my bator looks like a murder scene, NEVER EVER had such issues hatching something! They pipped over two days ago, and the pips never opened at all, just cracks, so after a day I pulled a tad off at the pips and saw beaks and let them go, another day and a half! I should have read up on incubating them, they take much much longer in the rest stage! Do and learn right? slowly one by one they are escaping their confinement! I had one dead stuck in shell so I am assisting a bunch and had like four pop out so far. I just don't get them!
I'm happy for you!!! Only one serama made it but is absolutely chicken eye candy being all white with black and white wings. It seems to be getting along well with my other bigger chicks from the same hatch date. I need to hatch more or find it a friend.I am sooooo excited about our Serama Saloon! my vision is coming to life! we will make the "Saloon" sign today and add a few more odd ball signs, I soooo wish I could afford acheap wagon wheel! I have barrels already!

agree! and whenever I do my coops changing of bedding I use my sprayer with sevin in it and spray it down lightly and add dust when dry then add bedding, and every 3 four months I hit the birds up with a nylon with the dust in it and pat them down under wings butts all over!
If you are incubating in the same bator then you may consider a hatcher or getting your jungle fowl eggs a week later so they hatch together
Quote: I will collect again if you want, all eggs I added on the 23rd are viable. So finally we have good fert rates. I am going to start listing them when I get time to take better pics of them! Is yours frizzled? I want pics pics pics! we just hatched two yellow chicks and one pure white chick, interesting! They hatched last week with those coturnix, I threw them in with them.
Quote: He did an awesome job on it, I finally got trim painted today, it was slow as it was so freaking hot I swear I was melting! I made three signs for the side, and DH made me FAUX "saloon" doors and I have most of the big Saloon Sign painted. I want to do something else, with whiskey bottles but cant come up with anything cool yet! And I still want a wagon wheel!!!
