HA HA HA what fish!

Okay I have to ask have any of you been using dumor feed from tractor supply I just lost for my chicks from what appears to be wryneck. I was using dumor feed for few days
not I, sounds like its a good thing too!
I just got an Iphone 5 last week and I am loving it. I have to say at first I thought it was going to be a bust, since all I ever had was a HTC. But this phone is a hit. You can talk to Siri (kind of weird, since I discovered it today) I have a boat load of smiles that I didn't know existed, it types for you, it calls for you, it searches for you, it finds places for you, now if only I could get it to feed for me LOL
I have HTC
Ok thank you iam new at this
LOL! We are all green at some point! welcome!

Quote: It was directed at your pretty guy! I will have to research them, I am thinking about converting my huge three "stall" wood shed, but I just keep thinking! These guys are tiny then? Are they smaller than a serama or about the same? Very very pretty, how is temperament? Awesome you are NPIP so I know I will be able to get some from you later on! Do u have any pics of hens?
I will get you some pictures of the hens when I get home before dark. I do breed the sizes down, most cases roosters are about 22 ounces. I have never raised a non hatchery serama so I really cant compare them. temperament is pretty good, hens normally get along well once pecking order is established, but they are from game lines, 2 adult roosters will kill each other. these 2 roosters are pretty docile, others in the same breed (different colors) can be a little ornery, but usually not bad.

we've been using it for a couple of months now, haven't had a problem with it, fed it both to chicks and two call babies, all fine, in fact, just kicked the ducks out for good today, chicks have been out for two weeks now, altho i do have more to go out tomorrow, then later my last hatch will go out.

im seeing a lot of posts everywhere about wry neck. I have not had a problem with it for the most part until this year. has it been worse this year than in years past?

Yeah... this is the first time that I've had to deal with it. I wanted to use up the non-medicated chick starter from the ducklings. but now I regret it. Today is the last day of their treatment. Only one of them has died and that one passed away yesterday. He had seemed very weak for the past week so I knew it was coming. I'm thankful for the ones I have. The day I discovered it, the brooder looked like a war zone. Extremely bloody droppings everywhere.

As far as Gooser goes, I'm not sure what to do. The only feed the local feed mill offers that isn't meant for chicks or layers is "All Flock" with 18% protein. I was told to let them free-range as often as possible and to add whole oats to the feed to lower the protein, but since they are kept with the chickens, I'm not so sure I should do that.
awwwwww! poor chicks! I hope it works fast! Have you started a thread or asked anyone that has geese? I wonder if galgo can help! let me see if she will pop in, can you give her any more details till she pops on, have at it! even an image?

Yes, I posted on the Sebastopol breeding thread and I had many helpful responses. I'm tempted to try to the whole oats to lower the protein, but I don't want to put my chickens at risk. I think I'll just stick to letting them out to eat grass as often as I can.

I wrapped his wings with vet wrap and I was told to leave them that way for 7 - 10 days. Poor little Gooser, haha. Thanks for the response!

Beautiful picture Doug!

We have a 40,000 gallon fish pond in which I keep some very valuable koi in. It's fairly far from the barn, and my birds haven't ever wandered that far, but it does worry me sometimes. Hopefully they'll stick too their kiddie pool.
