Hmm... Okay, so...
I'm gonna start building Tweet's coop soon, and since I'm gonna get him a few girlfriends, I was wondering...
Should I get eggs, chicks, or grown hens?

If it was me, I'd get some pullets. Introducing a rooster to some hens have always been easy for me, much easier than introducing hens to hens, or heaven forbid, roosters to roosters. After being by himself for so long I'm sure he'd be very happy to have some hens around.

It's o.k. I am a little disappointed, but I knew the odds were pretty bad.

Nice to see you again

I was wondering where you've been.

I think I finally have the latest sickness under control. I used Corid until I ran out and then have been using Dimethox the last couple of days. I removed the last two dead ones today. I tried to save them and they were alive for almost a week with being sick. A guinea and a white crested Black Polish. Anyway, nothing else is sick. Im going to remove any sick ones from now on. None of the sick ones ever got better. All died. Its best for the flock to go ahead and remove sickness as you see it. I still have way to many chickens but I figure a rooster killing party will help.

Doug, I'm so sorry

I hope this is it now and things will go well again for you.

Chick #3 hatched just before we had dinner. My friends and their 2 kids got to see this one. Watching the expressions on their faces was almost as enjoyable for me as watching the chick!

Tomorrow. Promise! It's evening here already and I slipped the chicks under my second broody. I'll take some pics of them all tomorrow. It sounds like #4 started zipping. Everyone's taking turns to come check on the progress and update me.

Having a broody to raise them makes hatching even better.
