Good luck! I hope you can get some chicks/eggs. With the wonderful hatches you've had lately, maybe your luck turned finally?
 
How long to chickens molt! I haven't seen an egg from the brahma coop since the end of August! There are feathers everywhere and my roos certainly do NOT look fierce with half the feathers gone! LOL My word its a long time for them no???


also the roos sorta have really red spots on the foot feathers where the pins are, that normal?

Mine been molting all dang summer. Never seen chickens molt as much as this year. Heard this from a lot of people. I was getting 13-16 eggs a day from my 16 hens. The last 2 weeks I'm lucky if I get 6.

But I have heard they can molt up to 3 months. Red spots yes.

Ummm her name...I call her chicken and my little girl called her princess. She is more creative than I am.

Egg count has been way down for over a month here as well. I have 2 hens that are still laying. Now is a good time to worm if you haven't yet.
 
Don't know the cycle of the Brahmas. I know out of 8 of them, I'm only getting like 1 or 2 eggs a day from them. Had one go broody last week. Broke her because I have no fertile eggs right now.
