My chickens haven't laid ONE egg all August! They aren't molting very badly, but it's still noticeable. Now we're spending $2-$3 a week on store eggs...

I guess there's some good news here... We're gonna get Tweet's coop this autumn!

BTW mine is out with my layer eggs, First time for them Got a RIR cockerel for free off of Craigslist.

I need to lock my office. I bet I have another dozen down the toilet. This was the fourth try.this sucks.
May not be the end. I read a post last year and one guy never turned eggs but he had a good hatch rate.

you are correct.

but even then, there is absolutely nothing to guarantee the box will be shipped upright. It does not touch a human hand once its tossed into a sack in your post office until it gets to mine
Heck the last box I had they must have dropped from 50 feet and then kicked it for hours. Fragile = beat it for hours in the sort facility.

I wonder what the heck is with this, never have I had them like this!!! Weird all my layers went through it for 2 weeks and done, but the brahma are driving me insane, heck I was ready to think they are eating eggs!!
Tell me about it. My Jersey Giants were laying but now I have no eggs. Most of them are newer layers so I think egg eating is going on. I can't find any shells but from 5 eggs a day to 0. Might be a camp kenmore day comming soon.

Sally, you're definitely not alone. My LF cochins have been molting for well over a month now. I'm lucky to get 1 egg a day from them.

My brahma rooster just started his molt last week. He lost every single one of his tail feathers over the course of a day.

Surprisingly I only have 1 bantam molting. I wonder if they'll begin soon, or if they'll keep their feathers this winter.
