Our school called last night and a message from the principal said please send your children in jackets hoods scarfs and gloves and warm shoes, we have been having children come to school in sweatshirts. NICE eh? dohhhhh one of the kids I sit is one of them!! Today he had the works! ha ha ha I guess the principal has more authority than I asking them to bring a jacket! yeee gadddddd

Question about cold to all you smarter than me ppl on this thread
My son and wife gave me a cute wood covered space heater I have been running it all day each day .but do you all think it will run up the heat bill or help it? My daughter in law thinks it will help.
I have read if you only use space heaters in the room you are in it is a lower energy bill .. than heating the whole house makes sense .. but my furnace is on too.
My house is fairly open living room kitchen dining room almost like one big room..(.not bedrooms) thermostat is in hall by living room.
We don't get the terrible cold many of you get but did have below zero with 22 wind chill for a few days .(big deal huh with you 40 below) so my bill will be worse.. than usual which is bad enough
Im not a good enough mathmatician AT ALL to figure out the killowatts used etc... etc.. will it equal out if use furnace less but space heater is high to run too? . so equal $$ or ?

Another I guess dumb cold related to chickens. question....I am giving them warm water in the cold to help keep warm..
.. But they said on tv hot water coverts to frozen water faster than cold ...ie throwing hot in zero air get snow crystals. .
So you think the warm water freezes faster in the waterer too? Seems like it would but wonder still as its not boiling as the throw in air thing is.
Ok anyone remember some high school science?

I give warm water because no matter what in this cold it freezes in a few minutes, that at leasts gives them a shot of warmth, like us drinking warm drink. Not sure on the heater, I choose to freeze lol I am too cheap I guess! I know it cost us a fortune to run our kitchen baseboard heat when we moved in! Quickly switched to coal!

Another egg by the looks of things. Sometimes an egg makes it all the way to the hen's uterus (shell gland), but then instead of passing it shoots into reverse, meets the yolk coming down for the start of the next egg and gets incased in the next egg, along with the yolk and albumen. First one for OZ/ nurse/medical field persons I am wondering about freeze dried meal worms and if the mareks virus is killed during the freeze drying, I am not sure how to research. And it bothers me to not know this answer lol. I guess it irriates me that so many are making a fortune off of them and not a mention of Mareks, I know ALOT of people that had delt with Mareks not saying it all came from mealies but its a possibility! I wish I could order live meals and test the stinkers! If I was rich I would!

I am aware Mareks is a virus, an infectious disease of poultry caused by a herpesvirus that attacks nerves and causes paralysis or initiates widespread tumor formation. so not being in the medical field and knowing the diference between a virus and bacteria, not sure the pdf I just read is relevent as far as the freeze drying, so do you know the difference with the two and if a virus is also in bacterial form, IDK seriously head spinning... http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18323678

I am not sure about Mareks in Meal Worms including freeze dried - but the live vaccine is freeze dried.

My 13 year old daughter REFUSES to wear a coat because only dorks wear coats. I told her if no one is wearing a coat then I guess your school is full of idiots, and the dorks are the only intelligent ones.. Kids..geesh!
