Massive breed owners swear by them as a great source of glucosamine. May be a market for roos also, raw feeders. :)

interesting, I dont think I could ever eat them, sorta like blue or green ketchup ha! I wonder if they simply dry them, when we process I could attempt dehydrating wonder I could just feed them cooked, or do you thing the bones are harmful that way?

Hey everyone

Sorry I'm so quiet, I've been very busy lately. Hope you and your chickens are all well? My two perma-broodies have both gone broody again. They are fighting over the 4 eggs I let them have. I've forgotten how many days now, I'll have to check, or wait and see when the chicks hatch

hey sumi, you sure left us for a little bit. Nice to hear from you. I would love broody hens.3years with chickens and have not had that experience. But this year I have a larger flock with Bantams which sure will go broody sometime in summer.

You can have my broodies, both of them! They've gone broody 4 times now and I've only had them a few months. I love a good broody and I LOVE broody-chicks families, but eish. Some more eggs would be nice?

I just had a game bird mix go broody and boy is she in it to win it. Its her first time going broody and I thought "here we go again with an unexperienced broody" but she is serious. I'm going to have to put food and water in by her because she is not moving for nothin'.

haaaa

I put some eggs into lockdown on Tuesday and I'm sitting around like an ex smoker with a nic fit trying not to rip them open and find out why they haven't hatched yet. They were due today but there isn't a single pip. This has never happened to me before and I literally have ajada over it.

What do I do Sally? Do I tear open the incubator and open one up or do I resist and wait and see. I know I should wait but its like the dark side of the force is telling me to break lockdown and open those babies up to see whats wrong, but what if there isn't anything wrong? Then I will have opened up eggs that aren't ready to hatch yet and I will have put them in danger of not surviving. But what if something is wrong and I'm sitting here not helping them! AAAArgh!
