Have you given any vits or
POLYVISOL (liquid childrens A-B-D vitamins) ???

I never have force fed a chick before so I cannot tell you how do this without harming the chick with aspiration...... anyone?

I figured I better not call names and get infractions but you do make me smile!

hey dolfi... just in case here is a paste from the hatching 101 article

Homemade Electrolyte Recipe for weak/ill chicks
2 C. Water
2 TBL. Brown Sugar, honey or molasses
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
Mix until all dry ingredients dissolve & Keep refrigerated
You could also use electrolyte drinks Gatorade or Pedialyte, or
3 drops of POLYVISOL (liquid childrens A-B-D vitamins)
Slowly drip along inner edge of lower beak.

I was reading the first link and yea it looks like an yolk infection. I guess since it's the last one there and the bator has all the stuff from the others, it must have harmed it . I'll give it over night

dolfi I know you are going to continue to incubate so I know this is an investment, but you know how cheap I am right?

This is worth its weight in gold! and I have the navel and udder gel, I use it on any chicks with ANY KIND OF OPEN OR EVEN A TINY BLOOD DROP navel, I use it on the puppies umbilicals, tail dockings, dew claw removal, on myself AND the kids! BUMBLEFOOT too! ITS AMAZING STUFF

I can honestly say at this point in my incubating if my chicks are up and moving I NEVER loose one. I do several things that I think help them, the grow gel immediately, and in the brooder the pro-vits, ACV and medicated feed, and a dry clean brooder with heat 95-99 in one corner only free of drafts.
So I think the comb of stuff I found works amazing.
