I would never read this thread in its length omg

Partridge Brahma

she went unbroody and the eggs remain alone in the nest, she is laying next to the grow out pen with the 3 month olds LOL   guess she thinks she hatched them?

Maybe she was like "they need a momma more than these eggs!" OR "raising raised chicks is so much easier than sitting on a nest all day"

They are gorgeous!! Do you ever ship eggs? I just might have to add some of your brahmas to my collection!

she not only ships them, she packs them well.

I think we should start a page of anecdotal "symptoms and drugs we've used to successfully treat". Like, for example. I've had birds with a cough/sneeze on and off but no nasal discharge, but when I look in their mouth/pharynx, its very glossy and somewhat mucousy. Well, luckily I have a microscope, so I could diagnose spirochetes (of course MY birds come down with something that off-the-wall), but before I thought to do a nasopharyngeal swab, I tried baytril with no success and doxycycline with very little success. Finally, I used the denagard with success. I would love to make a chart of the exact symptoms and the drugs that we've had work for them. So that entry would look something like this:

Symptom(s) Age of Bird (approx) Medication Used Dosage Used

dry sneeze/cough 6 months + Denagard (tiamulin) as per directions
glossy mouth/throat
some mucous in mouth
occasional, small, white plaque
in mouth or on pallette
