i dont change. others do.

i got lost as to where you were in the hatch. my apologies

Thats ok I just decided to do it last minute after reading some more. I probably stressed myself out too much by reading so much info and all of it seems to contradict in some way or another. I am glad for advice from people like you and sally you have way more experience than me!

I think cochins is hatching right now! update with pics please!

Yes. It's day 22 and I have 2 external pips, 1 zip, and 1 that I assisted. I should have chicks by the end of the night!

The assist was with a mal-positioned chick that was unable to pip. It was growing very weak so I intervened. Thankfully I found the beak on the first try. It's now breathing and the veins have become bright red.

Considering the low fertility I've been experiencing, I need every chick I can get.

I am waiting for my last staggered hatch egg to hatch. I am collecting for the next round so will see if the nice weather is making any difference in fertility and water loss. Although the humidity is climbing with spring.

Sally I'm so excited one of the six hatch. But the one you wrote on I tried assisting (thinking it was dead)has a sticky water covering it. I can't see where the head is, and am afraid of it drowning or if I help I can harm it. What should I do. Ozzzzzz help.

I've got one large 'never ending' staggered hatch. I decided to set eggs every Friday and I'm only using one incubator.
