Reposting here since the HAL thread is crazy busy.
So my little chick that's out is bowling with the other eggs! The one that is trying to zip got rolled over. Ugh!!!! Will it be okay? At what point would a zipped or pipped egg need to be turned the right way up again?

Then no worries as long as thou turn45 degrees a min of three times a day. 9 times is better. Lol

People who have still air incubators and tilt their incubators do an excellent job of cooking their eggs

I always did 3 times a day. But going with 5 this time to see if that helps with everything else I changed. lol

I like the darkest red chick the best! what wonderful colors she has!

Can these be feather sexed or color sexed or anything?

Hi Sally,

Apparently these can be feather sexed. I checked them before moving them today and 5 of the chicks had a double row of wing feathers and the other 8 had only a single row of wing feathers. I still don't which is which but they are different.

well today was day 21 for me, so far i have 17 out and in the brooder, still have about four or five eggs to go, they're a mixture, some pure brahma's, some bantam cochins, two are old english and one is out of a green egg, have no idea what she is other than a ee, next week have more to hatch, going to have a bunch of fluffy butts like sally

well today was day 21 for me, so far i have 17 out and in the brooder, still have about four or five eggs to go, they're a mixture, some pure brahma's, some bantam cochins, two are old english and one is out of a green egg, have no idea what she is other than a ee, next week have more to hatch, going to have a bunch of fluffy butts like sally
