:clap

They are alot smaller than the ancona duck eggs, these are smaller than my Large fowl eggs, and vary so much in size too.

Day 24-26 hatch

So you are planning on locking down when? I would lockdown at some point on the next day or so. Maybe turn once a day. (I think that's why 4 of my EHAL babies were malpositioned)

Quote: I will POSSIBLY lock down when I see internals and less fluid and more dark filling the top, or more protrusion, or air cells getting too big. right now I am debating if they are too small yet or ok, so until I see what I want to see they stay put! I am trying to document it all so I can show you what I look for, but sometimes it doesnt work, like when I candled the image wont show the chick moving popping up and down at the front of the air cell like I wanted to show you! lol so I will do my best to document, in hopes that I get them hatched healthy on their own.

Quote: I am not worried about malpositions, my turning schedule was awesome from the start, see this cool video time frame of when they turn to position, its a lot earlier than you think for both chick and duck.
But I am sure some of them will go into the cooler even if I dont up humidity in it yet. I am trying to get the air cells perfect in each egg, so they will go in one by one as I see them fit lol. I know, call me nuts, but each egg is different in size and air cell size so I am treating them as such, I am lucky to have enough incubators to mess with right? ha ha ha

That's actually what I was going to day next why not move them one by one as you see the changes. My malpisitiond I think were caused by them going into lockdown almost a week before they hatched. I may start moving them over when I see they are ready. Especially with this next group. I have some SUPER tiny eggs in this group (from the same source as my first hatch). I've never seen eggs so tiny. I will take a picture tonight to show you.

your kidding!! awwww the little mite! how many of the early deads had bad air cells, I hate shipping to CA from all the way over here! I swear the Air Travel does them in! and you had like day old eggs when I sent them! makes no sense! :(
I know!! That little Serama was doing so well! All the early dead had weird air cells. They weren't fully detached, but they developed saddle cells, and you could see the fluid "swish around" when you moved them. Hopefully I'm good now though. I have 2 of each still in there, and for some reason I always hatch in pairs.

2 eggs went into the hatching coolerbator at 55% humidity, 99.5 temp (will only up at first internals, will reduce temp to 98.5 at first pip also.
When I moved them over, I marked air cells and also quickly weighed them and compared their egg size visually with the new batch of eggs and they seem closest in size of new set #9 egg so I went with its weight to best guess % weight loss....

Estimate day 20 so these two are alive kicking and somewhat pushing into air cell and have drawn down pretty much, also the smallest eggs set.

From what I read a day internal pip and another day external or more until final zip to hatch. So they may pip internally tomorrow!

BAD NEWS, I think the one that had the funky spots I did the video tape died, as its not moving now and looks like more veining got blurry, but not 100% on it,
so I left it in, will feel it tomorrow and see if it feels cooler than all the viable eggs and candle it gently.

Go duckies go! I think one of mine died today. The egg seems blurry... But here are those pictures I promised.

You see it next to the blue Ancona. That is one of the smaller Ancona eggs. But the chicken egg has to be the smallest I've ever seen...

Well besides this one. That is a medium chicken egg carton... So yeah this egg is tiny. Anything special I need to do.
