Quote: dont get too thankful yet, I havent hatched any silky duck YET!

I think its important to share experiences, expecially something so many are having trouble with. If they take this much care, I certainly understand how so many fail unfortunately time and equipment may not be on their side.

praying I dont kill them!!

7:30 PM two more internal pips!

I added very hot tap water to a spray bottle and sprayed one side of bator for instant humidity to candle.

so three eggies have internals, but one beak doesnt look as clear and defined, meaning its high up but I am thinking it may have the membrane on the beak yet, so that one will also get checked later on.

4 in cabinet are still not ready for lockdown, one is looking close!

Whoooooohoooo!!!! Go duckies go!! One of my tiny eggs seems like it's trying to draw down... I think it missed the memo it was on day 15. It still has 3 days till lockdown. I need to clean and reset the hatcher.

Begin day 22

No external pips, still only three internal pips with movement
of the three other eggs in lockdown, two movement one looks like it may have passed.
I know its possible this is the route most will take due to inbreeding of this breed to achieve it, but I am still bumming.
I could be wrong, but this time I think I am spot on, its still in lockdown though

that leaves two in the cabinet yet, they are sorta drawing down, one more than the other I will check these again in two hours
Here is the one that is drawing down more

There are six in lockdown, the one I think died is off to the one side and not pictured

I hope the one isn't dead but sleeping. Also Sally what's the earliest you've ever put eggs into lockdown?
