Diary & Notes ~ Air Cell Detatched SHIPPED Chicken Eggs for incubation and hatching

Temp is 101.5 at the top of the eggs, thermometer at the egg rack level says 99 so I think I'm in the ballpark (this is an LG Still air). I'm keeping humidity at 35-42% or so. I don't know, do you think I should have the humidity higher??

What day are you on?

Is it me or do my eggs look a heck of alot smaller than these in the silkie thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/297632/silkie-thread/24550 I think I was sent eggs from very young chickens and the red roo wasnt doing his job!!

Loved the idea about little containers of water. Might employ that next time I decided to make myself insane...I mean hatch eggs.

I open BYC at my subscription page. When I click on a subscription title, it takes me to the first unread post. I don't have to hit any other buttons -- this works on all my subscriptions -- I only had to hit that button on the graphic once. Huh. Maybe it was some other setting -- ?

I gave up! I could make it so I could only see threads with new posts but then every other post went away! LOL Not a big deal anyway

No, I just set them yesterday so I'm not going to candle again. Don't have a scale small enough either so no-go on the weighing...I'm just going to try not turning and see how they do on day 7...though I may check them before then, haven't decided yet...

No, I just set them yesterday so I'm not going to candle again. Don't have a scale small enough either so no-go on the weighing...I'm just going to try not turning and see how they do on day 7...though I may check them before then, haven't decided yet...

why was I thinking you were at day 7? ugggg I do read too much and dont have the capacity

I know, I know, I know I shouldn't have but I was having SUCH trouble with my temps that I had to keep checking if they were all still alive!!!!
