I know, I know, I know I shouldn't have but I was having SUCH trouble with my temps that I had to keep checking if they were all still alive!!!!

(This was one of my Super Blue Layers, so they have beautiful white shells (the blue one's inside - LOL) so you can candle so beautifully)

Too cool that you can see the embryo moving already! Neat

Actually tomorrow is Day 7 on my first set, these guys are in bator #2

I gave my last shipped eggs to a broody and she knew exactly what to do. They are due to hatch on Sunday. Out of the 14 eggs I gave her only 2 were removed all are in the right stage accept one. Some air sac's appear large but I think she will do fine. I love broodies.

Final count is in...7 hatched. 2 that look like they died day 18. Pretty happy with my results. Thanks for all the help you gave me.

No they are still in the bator. I did a quick candle to see if they were moving but other than that I don't know anything. I suppose I will crack them but don't have the heart to right now. I'll post pics tomorrow after the last two are freed from the bator.

Oh one of the eggs that didn't make it had a really weird shaped air cell that seemed overly large. I will open them tomorrow and see what I can learn.
