oh so sorry.I am hatching shipped eggs for the first time. The EE box had a major dent and one egg actually cracked, so not sure how many of those will make it; the Marans were better when they got here so have my fingers crossed. Pretty sure the 7 banty eggs of mine will hatch well.None of my eggs were any good this hatch ...most were unfertile from the looks of things ...so i started the next one .... was frustrating ...
WHAT!!! oh no!! whats going in now>?None of my eggs were any good this hatch ...most were unfertile from the looks of things ...so i started the next one .... was frustrating ...
Quote: 2 dozen silkies a few EE crosses and some quail .. and the second batch of duck eggs stayed in ... they arent due til november 6th ...
I had a temp spike last week and thought that was the problem but no they just werent fertile im guessing .... only 2 had growth at all ....
I bought an LED flashlight yesterday thinking it would be better than my big ol flash light; but it doesn't put out hardly any light; don't know what's up with that. But used my big light to check a couple; my daughter was here and I wanted to show her; could see the heart beating in one of the banty eggs, but I checked a couple of EEs and there is just a big shadow; I'm thinking they got scrambled in the mail.
That is awesome...not eat my own peeps.Mary what day would this be for you? I didnt candle, too much of a pain, there are too many to do with no lights really!
Finally got eggs! Now who laid um? Lol. I got no power or a road but I got eggs! Yay! Luke wants to hatch them, lol he says he ain't eating his own peeps! Uh oh!
