oh so sorry.I am hatching shipped eggs for the first time. The EE box had a major dent and one egg actually cracked, so not sure how many of those will make it; the Marans were better when they got here so have my fingers crossed. Pretty sure the 7 banty eggs of mine will hatch well.

WHAT!!! oh no!! whats going in now>?

We are due to candle Harmonys eggs today I think, lol not until we get power! I have a generator but not even going there right now! bad enough running it to hold temps in the bator and then shoving the bator close to the coal stove, at least it hasnt gone below 97 degrees, but for some reason it said max temp was at 106 so I dont know when the spike could have happened..as I have been setting my alarm every hour and checking the bator EVEN all night, I sleep down there! I guess the candle will tell.

At this point I wish they would just open our road up, school is in session and I cant get my kids there!
screw electric here, I just want to go take a shower somewhere and eat a hot nice meal!! lol
 
maybe I should go candle with Harmony : (... its too friggen dark to be dealing with that, then I gotta run another cord cause my candler plugs in.
 
I bought an LED flashlight yesterday thinking it would be better than my big ol flash light; but it doesn't put out hardly any light; don't know what's up with that. But used my big light to check a couple; my daughter was here and I wanted to show her; could see the heart beating in one of the banty eggs, but I checked a couple of EEs and there is just a big shadow; I'm thinking they got scrambled in the mail.

Mary what day would this be for you? I didnt candle, too much of a pain, there are too many to do with no lights really!

Finally got eggs! Now who laid um? Lol. I got no power or a road but I got eggs! Yay! Luke wants to hatch them, lol he says he ain't eating his own peeps! Uh oh!

I got my first egg yesterday night. I went to check on the ducks I moved into the big coop and there it was laying in the run. Nearly stepped on it.
