not sure i know for a fact she had white and patridge ? ... i got some roos from her and that is how i know that ... they have been in quarantine(sp?) a week now ....

I just reread what I wrote and realized I put "yesterday night". Must be the Okie in me shining bright. I have not cracked my lone egg yet but I might just to see if it is fertile. My Roo is still limping around but he sure gives fertilizing a good shot when the girls let him.

Is the limp any better at all?

Sometimes it seems better.When he is in a hurry he kinda does this hop jump thing. He has even been up on the roost at night with the girls. He is a big boy so he might have done a permanent injury to himself.

Mary what day would this be for you? I didnt candle, too much of a pain, there are too many to do with no lights really!

Finally got eggs! Now who laid um? Lol. I got no power or a road but I got eggs! Yay! Luke wants to hatch them, lol he says he ain't eating his own peeps! Uh oh!

This is barely Day 7 but I am trying to get better with candling and knowing what I'm looking at; usually I just do a different couple of eggs every couple of days, for the practice. Really hoping some of the EE and Marans make it! I want lots of different colors in my cartons for next years farmer's market!

It must be the moon ;-) I got 4 eggs today, been a long time since that happened; two banty and two BO pullets. The other banty has not laid in a long while so will probably be chicken soup by spring. The other two BO pullets are starting to redden up a bit; they are bit smaller than their sisters/ None of the Welsummers are doing anything, but the old girls have been molty and looks like they had some kind of mites or lice. They also had tape worms really bad. Have treated for it so hoping they perk up soon.

YAY Electric! Just stay on pleaseeeeeeeeeee!! Eric said they cut down the trees, left them lay, but fixed the wires!!!! So we at least have electric but 419 remains closed, I am sure not for long now! yaya!! They musta been working late!! Way to go LINEMEN!!!!
