Get em warmed up again, and for the one with the dry membrane get that humidity up!

Well I just got home, and she hatched! She's an adorable little barred rock! None of the other eggs have pipped, I candled a few and didnt know what to do so I just put them back in my bator. Also, I came home to find that the light went out in my other incubator sometime during the day, and the four eggs in there were stone cold. I candled them immediately and they're still alive, and I pipped the air sac of one that is on day 18/19 today to see if it was still alive. It was, but the membrane is completely dry. Will it be able to hatch, since I took off the shell on the air sac meaning it'll only have to break the dry membrane? Also, there were 3 eggs in day 15/16 in the bator with the heat lamp mishap, and when I candled they moved and had veins so they ARE alive, but will this mishap prevent them from hatching? And what should I do with the ones on day 20/21 that haven't pipped?

Warm them up FIRST! for at least an hr or two!!

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Upset!!! I killed a chick!!!! One of Chads BCM x Comets!! I did a quick candle cause I had to move them to my old styro bator because the cooler bator humidity was way way to high from all these guys hatching and the rain!!!! I need to figure something out for next time to add and remove water,I told the hubby but he never listens! not that I can blame this on him....

OMG I candled and it looked half empty!!! and I thought it was dead, it didnt move and just didnt look black inside like all his other eggs!
I took pics but OMG graphic! dont know if I should post or not??????????????????? Its something I definately have LEARNED FROM!!!!

I candled and took pics, and then eggtopsy both eggs one was a bad egg with death around day 14??

BUT THIS one I killed was a PURE WHITE CHICK! PURE WHITE WITH A BLACK DOT ON her head!!! she started gasping for breath and I could have died right there with her!!!
She was very small and not near close to hatch! BUT SHE WAS ALIVE!!! why was she WHITE???????????????????????

I wont post here if I will offend you guys but I have the candle pics and the eggtopsy pics.... @##@%@$^^ bleep bleep!! soooooooo upset and smacking myself!!!


EDITED to add...... I miscounted too, there were 9 eggs now there are 7 in lockdown!!!

7 banty cross eggs, tho one might be a quitter but I'm not sure
7 EE not sure about some of these tho I did toss an early quitter, tiny embryo and a blood ring
11 marans; can't see into most of them, tho I can see air cells, so maybe, just maybe some of these will hatch....

Oh Sally! that is so sad and I feel for you! That is why I am so scared to toss an egg unless/until I am really and truly sure it's dead.... like it has a blood ring. Well at least post the candling pics so we can all learn from your mistake! Please.
