Diatomaceous earth is very good for chickens, I use it as a de-wormer.Hi, just wondering if diatomaceous earth is good for chickens respiratory system? And how often is it good to use? tnx
No, it really isn't. It can kill bugs and stuff when dry (when wet it is rendered completely useless.), it works by scraping away the exoskeleton. But it is not good for their respiratory system. If it kills bugs by scraping away the exoskeleton what do you think it would do to a chickens lungs?Hi, just wondering if diatomaceous earth is good for chickens respiratory system?
So is it okay for them to eat? If they eat it as a dewormer? No, it really isn't. It is completely ineffective as soon as it gets wet. So no.So is it okay for them to eat? If they eat it as a dewormer?
Well, some feeds have it mixed as an anti-caking agent, and once wet it won't hurt them. But it doesn't work as a dewormer, chicken's insides are wet, after all.So is it okay for them to eat? If they eat it as a dewormer?
I don’t feed it to them wet.It is completely ineffective as soon as it gets wet. So no.
Good God no... it doesn't do a thing for internal worms. So is it okay for them to eat? If they eat it as a dewormer?
Do you think the esophagus is dry?I don’t feed it to them wet.
