I will happily start a new thread when and if I get any additional info on DE use for worms.

You'll find lots of "info"

Ther TRUTH is it doesn't work for internal parasites.

You will see lots of sites that SAY it works, and most of them will be trying to sell DE

There is no scientific proof that it does anything to worms

The real reason that DE is added to many livestock feeds is that it prevents infestations in the bags of feed

It's also added to grains meant for human consumption for the same reason, which is the ONLY reason it has a "Food Grade" rating​

I am aware DE is added to feed to prevent infestations. I am also aware of your belief on the worming use. You are beating a dead horse at this point. This thread has gotten WAY off topic and the OP's concerns are being ignored entirely.

Brattish - No need to get confrontational. In fact I was adding by stating FACT about the many claims about DE. I'm sorry if that seemed uncalled for.

Either way, OP is concerned about the safety of DE and its use in poultry care. DE is ineffective when wet. It is effective dry, in feed. Both are in agreement with the fact that DE should be used carefully and for the correct purposes.

It is apparent that the origianl poster used the wrong FORM of DE.

Everyone should take the time to read up on the many, many, many suggestions that are posted on this forum. It is YOUR responsiblility to do so.
But when a poster (the OP) has a problem, we should not be attacking each other or debating who is right or wrong ~ we should be banding together to help this person. SHAME ON YOU!

To the OP, I do hope that you have stopped using the DE that made you so sick and that you are healing from your injuries. I also sincerly hope that you do not have any lasting effects from these chemicals. We'll keep you in our thought and prayers for a speedy recovery. If you decide to use anything in the future, I do hope that you read, read, and read some more, before you decide to use anything.
