Did anyone ever get a pnuemonia vaccine?

I got it when I was diagnosed with asthma about 15 years ago. Just once. And it made me SO sick!!! I had a fever and headache, and I was sick sick sick for about 2 days I couldn't even get up off the couch!!!

My friend gets that vaccine and whatever else is recommended. She has COPD. You can look on the cdc or just google to see the latest recommendations for adults. If you do have adverse reactions you can file symptoms through VAERS and for injury through NVICP.The vaccine insert will list acknowledged problems that can result from the use of that vaccine. Just make sure you get the lot number for the vaccine you were given for your home medical records.

I get vaccinated for anything that comes along. Bit the bullet last year and paid the fee for the shingles vaccine, because my MIL got shingles a few years ago, primarily on her face. It knocked her low for months, and she now has post-herpetic neuralgia and gets excruciating headaches quite often. Shingles has adversely affected her life for the past four years; I never want to suffer like that.

I had no idea they had a shingles vaccine. My dad had shingles years ago but his broke out on the inside instead of the outside. It took a long time for him to get diagnosed. He gets a flu shot and pnuemonia shot yearly.
