ive got 2 chickens......
1. New Hampshire Red
2.) Issa Brown
i live in australia.
the New hampshire i realise has finer feathers & more sparse (less) feather than the Issa.
not only do i notice the Issa brown having more feathers......but the feathers actually seem more Furry...
alot more fluffy at the base.....making it a bit harder to see the base of the skin where the feathers connect to.
what i have noticed is that the ISSA is more prone to having lice crawling around its body.
i havent had time to dust them for a while...few months at least...
and ive checked this morning.... the new hampshire had NONE......
and the ISSA as usual...........was INFESTED...
its funnt because they sleep in a small coop together...
but it seems so much more rare that the New hampshire gets any lice
has anyone experienced this?
