Did anyone see the ball drop?

Okay so here we are sitting by the tv waiting for the ball to drop and 5,4,3,2,1 happy new year! But where is the ball? Well we never saw it. Did this happen to anyone else?

We watched the ball drop and then quickly turned it onto ESPN to watch the guy jump over 250 feet with a car! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
