Did anyone see the PBS special tonight on chickens?

Saw it two months ago here.

I think the guy with the 100+ roosters was a bit crazy, "I don't hear nothing. The noise don't bother me none." It was pretty obvious he was raising them for some purpose and not just pets.
 
I show the show last night as well...hubby even sat and watched with me. I have heard of humans trying to transfer their wants and needs to other animals, but, that lady with the silkie kind of scared both of us. Well intentioned, without a doubt, but kind of disturbing. Hubby turned to me at one point and said, "Don't you EVEN think about doing that with any of the chickens we have!!!"

I thought she was a silkie? My Dh and I watched that one and it made me fall in love with silkies. Until then I had thought of them as ugly little things but that hen bought me over....I remember her name was Liza.

We love PBS, it is one of the few things we watch on TV. The show "Nature" is the most awesome one of all IMO. My dh and I never miss an episode of it.
